Between two ferns.
In 2016 and again in 2017, Sight Unseen hired White Arrow to style and photograph the Norway x New York design collaborations.
For the most recent series, we took inspiration in shipping and crating. We were inspired by the collaboration's cross-continental exchange of ideas, as well as the life cycle of these works--which are destined to be transported and exhibited internationally.
The following images showcase the collaborative designs of up-and-coming studios: Vonnegut / Kraft and Kneip, Moving Mountains and Runa Klock, Jamie Wolfond and Sigve Knuton, Visibility and Noidoi, and Slash Objects and Thomas Jenkins.
In 2016, we used the lush Norwegian landscape as a springboard. We sourced a mix of ferns, unusual green tulips, and a playful array of vintage accessories to highlight the black and mossy hues and artful geometry of the commissioned pieces.
The images that follow highlight the work by American design studios:
Ladies & Gentlemen, Bower, Farrah Sit, Jonah Takagi, Assembly and the Norwegians: Vera and Kyte, Bjørn van den Berg, Silje Nesdal, Hallgeir Homstvedt, Morten and Jonas.
